Rectangle Beaded Shield - Assorted

Traditionally, these shields were employed as protective weapons as well as ornamental or ceremonial artifacts that represented rank and riches in Cameroon. Each shield is hand carved from a single piece of wood and adorned by huge groups of natives from the Tikar Tribe, making each one unique.

Beads, cowrie shells, and manilla thread are used to embellish the shields.

Whatever your design aesthetic, these handcrafted objects are certainly conversation starters in any environment.

It comes with a wall fitting for simple hanging.
